Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of all AI products, services, APIs, and platforms provided by World Council for AI PTE. LTD. ("WCAI", "we", "us", or "our").

This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your access.

Scope

This policy applies to all customers, their end users, employees, contractors, partners, and any parties accessing our Services.

2. Acceptable Use

Our Services are designed to augment human work and decision-making. Acceptable uses include:

  • Using AI Services to assist with analysis, drafting, coding, and research
  • Integrating our APIs in accordance with documentation and rate limits
  • Processing business data for legitimate operational purposes
  • Developing applications that enhance productivity and decision-making

Important: AI outputs should be treated as assistive, not authoritative. You must independently review outputs for accuracy, bias, and appropriateness before critical use.

3. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our Services for any of the following:

3.1 Illegal Activities

  • Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Fraud, money laundering, or terrorist financing
  • Sanctions evasion or export control violations
  • Criminal activity of any kind

3.2 Harmful Content

  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, or extremist content
  • Incitement to violence, self-harm, or harm to others
  • Child sexual abuse material or sexual content involving minors
  • Defamatory or deliberately misleading content

3.3 Security Violations

  • Creating or distributing malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Phishing, social engineering, or credential harvesting
  • Unauthorized penetration testing or network intrusion
  • Circumventing security controls or safety filters

3.4 Deception and Misrepresentation

  • Creating deepfakes for fraud or reputational harm
  • Impersonating individuals or organizations
  • Presenting AI-generated content as human-created without disclosure
  • Operating fake accounts or bots for manipulation

3.5 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Infringing copyrights, trademarks, or patents
  • Misappropriating trade secrets
  • Violating license terms or data use restrictions

4. AI-Specific Restrictions

Given the unique capabilities and risks of AI systems, the following additional restrictions apply:

4.1 High-Risk Automated Decisions

Using AI for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects (e.g., credit, employment, housing, education, access to essential services) requires:

  • Human review and final decision-making authority
  • Transparency to affected individuals about AI involvement
  • Mechanisms for explanation and contestation
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

4.2 Prohibited AI Applications

The following uses are strictly prohibited:

  • Developing autonomous weapons or systems that can cause physical harm without human control
  • Mass surveillance or persistent tracking without legal basis
  • Predictive policing based on protected characteristics
  • Emotion recognition or biometric categorization without explicit consent and legal basis
  • Social scoring systems that disadvantage individuals based on behavior or characteristics
  • Generating instructions for weapons, explosives, or dangerous activities

4.3 Professional Advice Limitations

AI outputs must not be used as a substitute for professional advice in medicine, law, or finance. Any such use must be:

  • Clearly labeled as non-diagnostic or non-determinative
  • Reviewed by qualified professionals before action
  • Accompanied by appropriate disclaimers

5. Data Protection Requirements

5.1 Prohibited Data Inputs

Unless explicitly permitted in your service agreement, do not input:

  • Unencrypted payment card data or financial account numbers
  • Government-issued identification numbers
  • Protected health information (PHI) without proper safeguards
  • Confidential trade secrets or highly sensitive business data
  • Personal data of minors without appropriate consent

5.2 Data Minimization

Use anonymized or pseudonymized data wherever possible. Only input personal data when necessary for the intended purpose.

5.3 Compliance Obligations

You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with:

  • Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
  • GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws
  • Industry-specific regulations (HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.)
  • Your own privacy policies and customer commitments

6. Human Oversight Requirements

You must implement appropriate human oversight for AI outputs:

6.1 Mandatory Review

  • High-impact decisions affecting individuals' rights or opportunities
  • Public communications and marketing content
  • Legal, compliance, or contractual documents
  • Financial reports and recommendations

6.2 Verification Responsibilities

  • Fact-check outputs representing data, research, or citations
  • Verify outputs do not infringe third-party rights
  • Assess outputs for bias or discriminatory content
  • Confirm appropriateness for intended use

7. Transparency and Disclosure

When required by law, platform policies, or good practice:

  • Disclose when users are interacting with AI (chatbots, automated systems)
  • Label AI-generated content in contexts where authenticity matters
  • Be transparent about AI involvement in significant decisions
  • Maintain records of AI use for audit and compliance purposes

8. Platform Integrity

To maintain service quality and security:

  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, extract weights, or probe model internals
  • Do not bypass rate limits, safety filters, or access controls
  • Do not use prompt injection to manipulate system behavior
  • Do not share API keys or credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Do not overload systems or engage in denial-of-service activities
  • Report security vulnerabilities responsibly to our security team

9. Monitoring and Enforcement

9.1 Monitoring

We use technical and operational measures to detect policy violations, including rate limiting, abuse detection, content filtering, and usage analytics.

9.2 Reporting

You must promptly report any suspected security incidents, policy violations, or harmful outputs to hello@worldcouncil.ai.

9.3 Enforcement Actions

Violations may result in:

  • Warnings and guidance for minor or inadvertent violations
  • Temporary suspension of access or features
  • Permanent termination for serious or repeated violations
  • Reporting to law enforcement where legally required
  • Preservation of logs and data for legal proceedings

10. Policy Updates

We may update this AUP as AI technology, laws, and risks evolve. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
